A bit about me
Countries
Cities
Continents
Vegetarian, yogi, explorer
I live in North Carolina (but New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia were all home ports at one time) and have left footprints on every continent. I explore cities on foot, on the lookout for the unusual and endearing. But, hiking, climbing and trekking are my life’s passion.
I have been a life-long vegetarian. I’m a wife, a mother of five, and a wide ranging enthusiast for every type of adventure — you’re as apt to cross paths with me listening to a quintet playing Mozart in a Vienna sitting room as you are to have me pass you on the Inca Trail.
I enjoy good wine (if it is dry!), stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, yoga (who knew that downward dog is different in Costa Rica than downward dog in Croatia?), hiking, climbing and reading. I have no favorite TV channel because I never have time to turn it on.
I have a degree in sociology — accent on the social part. If you want me to visit your terra firma, all you need do is drop a tease about some obscure street art, a difficult hike or your resident penguin and I’ll be there before you know it. Camera in one hand and wine glass in the other.

Recent Travels

I try to get people (including myself) in most photos because when we are dead our family will throw all the landscapes away. All that really matters is the humanity that we chronicle.
